TRAMPS: Traralgon Meals on Wheels 19 January.

Tramps started of the riding year with the annual Meals on Wheels ride from Traralgon. Attendance was impressive with some riders that had been absent for some time plus a solid turnout from the regulars. In all 29 riders took to the local area for a day of riding and eating and drinking.
The main change for this year was the route took us via Tyers and Toms Bridge to Morwell. On the way we were treated to a serious morning tea at Tyers. Coffee and cake was the order of the day at this early stop.
After a casual break it was back on the bikes for the longer run to Morwell and lunch. The route took us on a loop of Morwell before the stop next to Kernot Hall. The venue was most pleasant with ample seating and a view of the lake. The luncheon provided by Team Helen was up to its usual high standard. I am sure that no one left the park hungry. I must add that Jan and Vance also assisted in the making of the day's success.
The return to Traralgon started off with a quiet run along the creek on the quality bike path. Unfortunately the path does not extend all the way, yet, so it was onto the less quiet Old Melbourne Road for the remainder.
On arrival into town we again took the local creek path to the final event at the ice cream shop. This capped off a most successful start to the riding calendar for 2014.
Now that's a hat!
